Author Paulo Coelho is best known for his beloved 1988 book "The Alchemist," a story that encapsulates his pursuit of spiritual fulfillment in literature and in life. This line, however, comes from a later novel, "By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept." The book follows a pair of lovers, former childhood friends, as they navigate a journey through sacred sites in the French Pyrenees.
