In some cases, region-specific terms may apply to you, which are indicated in the section headings below. We may provide additional or supplemental privacy policies to individuals for specific products or services that we offer at the time we collect personal information. These supplemental privacy policies will govern how we may process the information in the context of the specific product or service.
Personal Information You Provide to Us. Personal information you provide to us through the Platform or otherwise may include the categories listed below. We may also collect other personal information that is not specifically listed here, which we will use as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.
Personal Information We Receive from Third Party-Platforms and Social Media Networks. We may maintain pages for our brands or otherwise relating to our services on social media platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google, YouTube, Instagram, and other third-party platforms. When you visit or interact with our pages on those platforms, the platform provider's privacy policy will apply to your interactions and their collection, use, and processing of your personal information. You or the platforms may provide us with information through the platform, and we will treat such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
If you choose to login to the Platform via a third-party platform or social media network, where available, or otherwise connect your account on the third-party platform or network to your account through the Platform, we may collect information from that platform or network. For example, this information may include your social media handle, user ID, profile picture, cover photo, and networks to which you belong (e.g., school, workplace). You may also have the opportunity to provide us with additional information via the third-party platform or network, such as a list of your friends or connections and your email address. You can read more about your privacy choices in the "YOUR CHOICES" section below.
Personal Information We Receive from Other Third Parties. We may receive personal information about you from third parties, such as our marketing and advertising partners, affiliate networks, data analytics partners, sweepstakes providers, contest partners, publicly available sources, and data providers. For example, a business partner may share your contact information with us if you have expressed interest in learning specifically about our products or services, or the types of products or services we offer.

The information that may be collected automatically includes:
Like many online services, we use cookies and similar technologies to facilitate some of this automatic data collection, such as:
Session replay technologies, which are third-party software used to record a video replay of users' interactions with the Platform. The video replay may include users' clicks, mouse movements, scrolls, mobile app touches, typing, and other activity taken during the session. We use these replays for research and development purposes, such as to help us troubleshoot problems with the Platform, understand how users interact with and use the Platform, and identify areas for improvement.
We may use your personal information for the following purposes and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection.
To Provide the Platform. We use your personal information to provide our Platform and operate our business. For example, we may use personal information to:
To Display Advertisements. We partner with advertising partners and other third parties that collect information across various channels, including offline and online, for purposes of displaying advertisements on the Platform or elsewhere online and delivering more relevant advertising to you. These advertisements are delivered by our advertising partners and may be targeted based on your use of the Platform or your activity elsewhere online. Our partners may use your information to recognize you across different channels and platforms, including but not limited to, computers and mobile devices, over time for advertising (including addressable TV), analytics, attribution, and reporting purposes. For example, our partners may deliver an ad to you in your web browser based on a purchase you made in a physical retail store, or they may send a personalized marketing email to you based on the fact that you visited a particular website. In addition, some of these companies may use hashed customer lists that we share with them to deliver ads to you and to similar users on their platforms. To learn more about your choices in connection with advertisements, please see the "Advertising Choices" section below.
To Send You Marketing and Promotional Communications. We may send you marketing communications as permitted by law, including materials, updates, information, special offers, and promotional material from us and our business partners. You may opt-out of our marketing and promotional communications as described in the "Opt-Out of Marketing Communications" section below.
For Research and Development. We use personal information for research and development purposes, including to study and improve the Platform and our business, understand, and analyze the usage trends, demographics, and preferences of our users, and develop new features, functionality, products, and services.
To Comply with Law. We may use your personal information as we believe necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal process, such as to respond to subpoenas or requests from government authorities.
For Compliance, Fraud Prevention, and Safety. We may use your personal information and disclose it to law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties as we believe necessary or appropriate to: (a) protect our, your, or others' rights, privacy, safety, or property (including by making and defending legal claims); (b) enforce the terms and conditions that govern the Platform; (c) prevent, identify, investigate and deter fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical or illegal activity, including cyberattacks and identity theft; (d) maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our Platform, products and services, business, databases and other technology assets; and (e) audit our internal processes for compliance with legal and contractual requirements and internal policies.
With Your Consent. We will disclose your personal information in accordance with your prior direction or, in some cases, we may specifically ask for your consent to collect, use, or share your personal information, such as when required by law.
To Create Anonymous, Aggregated or De-Identified Data. We may create anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data from your personal information and other individuals whose personal information we collect. We make personal information into anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We may use this anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes, including to analyze and improve the Platform and promote our business.
In addition to the situations discussed elsewhere in this Privacy Policy or at the point of collection, we may share your personal information with the following entities or persons.

Sweepstakes and Joint Marketing Partners. We may also share your personal information with other partners in order to provide you with content and other features through the Platform, and such partners may send you promotional materials or otherwise contact you regarding products and services that they offer. When you choose to enter a contest or sign up for a sweepstakes, we may share the personal information you provide as part of the offer with the named co-sponsors or other third parties affiliated with such offer.
Third-Party Platforms and Social Media Networks. If you have enabled features or functionality that connect the Platform to a third-party platform or social media network (such as by logging in to the Platform using your account with the third-party, providing your API key or similar access token for the Platform to a third-party, or otherwise linking your account with the Platform to a third party's services), we may disclose the personal information that you authorized us to share. We do not control the third party's use of your personal information.
Other Users of the Platform and the Public. We may provide functionality that enables you to disclose personal information to other users of the Platform or the public. For instance, you may be able to maintain a user profile with information about yourself or your use of the Platform that you can make available to other users or the public. You may also be able to submit content to the Platform (such as comments, questions, stories, reviews, surveys, blogs, photos, and videos), and we will identify you by displaying information such as your name, username, social media handle, or a link to your user profile along with the content you submit. We do not control how other users or third parties use any personal information that you make available to other users or the public.
Professional Advisors. We may disclose your personal information to professional advisors, such as lawyers, bankers, auditors, and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.
Authorities and Others for Compliance, Fraud Prevention and Safety. We may disclose your personal information for the compliance, fraud prevention, and safety purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation. Under certain circumstances, this may include law enforcement, government authorities, and other parties if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
Business Transaction Participants. We may sell, transfer, or otherwise share some or all of our business or assets, including your personal information, in connection with a business transaction (or potential business transaction) such as a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, joint venture, reorganization or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy or dissolution.
You can make the following choices regarding your personal information.
Access or Update Your Account Information. In some cases, if you have registered for a certain type of account with us, you may be able to review and update certain personal information in your account profile by logging into the account. Some accounts may also allow you to control certain privacy settings on the Platform through your user preferences.
Opt-Out of Marketing Communications. You may opt out of marketing-related emails by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of the email, or by contacting us using the contact information at the bottom of this Privacy Policy. You may continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing emails.
Cookies & Browser Web Storage. We may allow service providers and other third parties to use cookies and similar technologies to track your browsing activity over time and across the Platform and third-party websites. Most browsers let you remove or stop accepting cookies from the websites you visit. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. Please note that if you set your browser to disable cookies, the Platform may not work properly. For example, if you disable cookies on some of our Platform, we may no longer be able to track the points you have earned from our quizzes or trivia games. For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your browser and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org. Similarly, your browser settings may allow you to clear your browser web storage.
Advertising Choices. You may be able to limit the use of your information for targeted advertising by blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings, using browser plug-ins/extensions, and/or using your mobile device settings to limit the use of the advertising ID associated with your device.
Some of our advertising partners may be members of organizations or programs that provide choices to individuals regarding the use of their browsing behavior for purposes of targeted advertising. You may opt out of receiving targeted advertising from companies participating in the following industry opt-out programs by visiting the linked websites: the Network Advertising Initiative (http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://optout.aboutads.info).
In addition, some advertising partners may offer their own opt-out mechanisms. For example, you can learn more about opting out of the cookie-based portions of the LiveIntent Advertising Program by clicking here, from LiveRamp by clicking here, or from Google by clicking here.
Many of the opt-out preferences described in this section must be set on each device and/or browser for which you want them to apply. Please note that some of the advertising companies we work with may not participate in the opt-out mechanisms described above, so even after opting-out, you may still receive interest-based advertisements from other companies. If you opt-out of interest-based advertisements, you will still see advertisements online but they may be less relevant to you.
Do Not Track. Some Internet browsers may be configured to send "Do Not Track" signals to the online services that you visit. We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" or similar signals. To find out more about "Do Not Track," please visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com.
Choosing Not to Share Your Personal Information. Where we are required by law to collect your personal information, or where we need your personal information in order to provide the Platform to you, if you do not provide this information when requested (or you later ask to delete it), we may not be able to provide you with our services. We will tell you what information you must provide to receive the Platform by designating it as required at the time of collection or through other appropriate means.
Third-Party Platforms or Social Media Networks. If you choose to connect to the Platform via a third-party platform or social media network, you may have the ability to limit the information that we may obtain from the third party at the time you login to the Platform using the third party's authentication service or otherwise connect your account. Subsequently, you may be able to control your settings through the third party's platform or service. For example, you may access and change your settings through your Facebook settings page. If you withdraw our ability to access certain information from a third-party platform or social media network, that choice will not apply to information that we have already received from that third party.
Occasionally, the Platform may contain links to third-party websites, mobile applications, products, or other services. These links are not an endorsement of, or representation that we are affiliated with, any third party. In addition, our content may be included on web pages or in mobile applications or online services that are not associated with us. We do not control third party websites, mobile applications, or online services, and we are not responsible for their actions. Other websites, mobile applications and services follow different rules regarding the collection, use and sharing of your personal information. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of the other websites, mobile applications, and online services you use.
The security of your personal information is important to us. We employ a number of organizational, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. However, security risk is inherent in all internet and information technologies and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.
We are headquartered in the United States and have service providers in other countries, and your personal information may be transferred to the United States or other locations outside of your state, province, or country where privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your state, province, or country. By providing your personal information, where applicable law permits, you specifically and expressly consent to such transfer and processing and the collection, use, and disclosure set forth herein.
The Platform is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 16.
This section applies only to California residents and supplements the information in our general Privacy Policy above. It describes how we collect, use, sell, share, and retain personal information of California residents in operating our business, and their rights with respect to that personal information. For purposes of this California-specific section, "personal information" has the meaning given in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") but does not include information exempted from the scope of the CCPA.
Personal Information Collected and the Purposes of Collection and Use. We summarize the personal information we collect, or have collected in the 12 months preceding the "Last Updated" date of this Privacy Policy below, by reference to the categories specified in the CCPA.
For each category of personal information (as defined in the CCPA), you will find a list of the type of personal information we collect (as described in the general Privacy Policy).
For information about:
To the extent that we may collect sensitive personal information (as defined under the CCPA), we only use or disclose it for purposes permitted under California privacy laws (e.g., to provide the Platform, detect security incidents and prevent fraud, or to verify and maintain the quality of the Platform). We do not collect or use sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about California residents.
Personal Information Disclosed for Business Purposes, "Sold," or "Shared." In the past 12 months, we may have disclosed each category of personal information listed above to the third parties listed in the "HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION" section for the business purposes described throughout this Privacy Policy.
In addition, we may "sell" or "share" (and in the past 12 months have "sold" or "shared") your Identifiers, Commercial Information, Online Identifiers, Internet or Network Information, and Inferences to the following categories of third parties, as described in more detail in the section above titled "HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION": Affiliates and Related Companies, Advertising Partners, Sweepstakes and Joint Marketing Partners, and Third-Party Platforms and Social Media Networks.
These disclosures are called "selling" or "sharing" data under the CCPA because we are either sharing your personal information in exchange for some sort of valuable consideration, or because such disclosure is for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of California residents under 16 years of age.
Your California Privacy Rights. As a California resident, in addition to the rights described in the general Privacy Policy, you have the rights listed below. However, these rights are not absolute, and in certain cases we may not be able to respond to your request, such as when a legal exemption applies or if we are not able to verify your identity.
You can request to exercise your rights to know/access, delete, or correct by visiting our Privacy Portal or sending your request to the email address listed at the bottom of this Privacy Policy. Please put the statement "CCPA Consumer Request" in the subject line.
We reserve the right to confirm your California residence to process your requests and will need to confirm your identity to process your requests to know/access, delete, or correct. This is a security measure to, for example, help ensure we do not disclose information to a person who is not entitled to receive it. We try to respond to all legitimate requests to know/access, delete, or correct within 45 days of your request. Occasionally it may take us longer than 45 days to respond, for instance if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you of the delay, and may continue to update you regarding the progress of our response.
You can request to opt-out out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information by following the instructions below:
If you direct us not to sell or share your personal information, we will consider it a request pursuant to California's "Shine the Light" law to stop sharing your personal information covered by that law with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
Consistent with the CCPA, you may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If you do so, we may require proof of your identification, the authorized agent's proof of identification, and any other information that we may request in order to verify the request, including evidence of valid permission for the authorized agent to act on your behalf. We cannot process your request if you do not provide us with sufficient detail to allow us to understand and respond to it.
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee or decline to comply with your request if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive.
California Notice of Financial Incentive. We may offer certain financial incentive programs that can result in different levels or quality of services to you, provided that such programs are reasonably related to the value of your personal information to us. For example, we may offer additional content to users who sign up for our mailing list, giveaways, sweepstakes, contests, or other similar promotional campaigns. We typically ask you to provide your email address or other contact information in order to participate in these programs or campaigns.
We offer these programs and campaigns because, among other things, the value of your personal information to us is related to the value of the free or discounted services, or other benefits that you obtain or that are provided as part of the applicable program or campaign. This value is based on the expense related to offering those services and benefits to participants, along with other factors such as whether and to what extent you take advantage of (or opt-out from) any offerings and whether we are able to use the data we collect from you.
When we offer any program or campaign, there is no obligation to opt-in, and you may withdraw at any time by contacting us using the designated method set forth in the applicable program rules or in the "Contacting Us" section of this Privacy Policy. Please review the applicable program or campaign offering or terms to view full details, including how to join.
Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A allows Nevada residents to opt-out of the "sale" of certain types of personal information. Subject to several exceptions, Nevada law defines "sale" to mean the exchange of certain types of personal information for monetary consideration to another person. If you are a Nevada resident who wishes to exercise your "sale" opt-out rights, you may submit a request to us using the contact information listed at the end of this Privacy Policy.
Certain U.S. states may also provide you with additional rights under their privacy laws. To the extent such laws apply, this section describes how we collect, use, and share personal information of such residents, and their rights with respect to their personal information. For purposes of this section, "personal information" means "personal data" or "personal information" as such term is defined under applicable state privacy law but does not include information exempted from the scope of such law.
Personal Information Collected and the Purposes of Collection and Use.
We describe:
Personal Information Disclosed, "Sold," or Used for "Targeted Advertising."
We may have disclosed each category of personal information that we process to the third parties listed in the "HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION" section above to operate our business and for the purposes described throughout this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection.
We may also "sell" or use for "targeted advertising" your contact information, your content, registration information, feedback or correspondence, contest or giveaway information, usage information, marketing information, social media platform data, referral information, device information, online activity information, and inferences that we create based upon these categories to the following categories of third parties, as described in more detail in the section above titled "HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION": Affiliates and Related Companies, Advertising Partners, Sweepstakes and Joint Marketing Partners, and Third-Party Platforms and Social Media Networks.
These disclosures may be called "sales" under applicable state privacy laws because we are either sharing your personal information in exchange for some sort of valuable consideration, or because such disclosure is for the purpose of targeted advertising in the manner described in the "To Display Advertisements" paragraph of the section above "HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION."
Your Privacy Rights. Under applicable state privacy law, residents may request the rights listed below. Please note, these rights are not absolute, and, in some cases, we may not be able to respond to your request, such as when a legal exemption applies or if we are not able to verify your identity.
Applicable residents may request to exercise their privacy rights described above by visiting our Privacy Portal or contacting us using the email listed below. You may also opt-out of targeted advertising in connection with the cookies and similar technologies that we use on this website by clicking below:
If we decline to take action on your request, you may appeal such refusal by sending us an email to the contact information listed below within a reasonable time period after we sent you our decision. We will process your appeal in compliance with the applicable state privacy law.
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the date of this Privacy Policy and posting it on the Platform. In some cases, we may also provide notification of changes in another way that we believe is reasonably likely to reach you, such as via e-mail (if you have an account where we have your contact information) or another manner through the Platform.
Any modifications to this Privacy Policy will be effective upon our posting the new terms and/or upon implementation of the new changes on the Platform (or as otherwise indicated at the time of posting). In all cases, your continued use of the Platform after the posting of any modified Privacy Policy indicates your acknowledgment of such changes. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically to keep up to date on our most current policies and practices.
If there are any questions or comments regarding this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, you may contact us by emailing privacy@inspiringquotes.com.
